Holašovice – (UNESCO)

Among the most beautiful villages in the Czech Republic is the South Bohemian village of Holašovice, which gained worldwide fame for its farmhouses in the style of Rural Baroque and was included in the UNESCO list in 1998 due to its uniqueness. You will feel as if you have stepped into another time or some picturesque fairy-tale world. Around the village green with the pond stand houses with richly decorated wide gables and granaries. The atmosphere is complemented by a Baroque chapel, a blacksmith's forge, and wells. On the edge of the village, there is a megalithic circle of giant stones – the Holašovice Stonehenge. The elements in the 30-meter diameter circle interact with each other. The most suitable for meditation is the 19-ton stone giant standing alone near the circle.
